On April 25, at 10:30 am, James Monroe Birthplace will host the celebration of President Monroe's birth 251 years ago. For further information please see the "Attractions" tab under "Visitors Information" on this web site.
James Monroe was born on April 28, 1758. He was the fifth president of the United States and served two terms in that office. Monroe held several state and national offices over a period of nearly fifty years.
