Historic Colonial Beach, Virginia

Special Events

During the summer, weekends are filled with special events such as Market Days, Bluemont Concerts, The Rod Run, The Potomac River Festival and of course the regionally talked-about annual 4th of July celebration with show-stopping fireworks. The rest of the year the beach hosts everything from 2nd Friday Art Walks to The Boardwalk Arts and Craft Show and a couple of Rockfish Tournaments.

Kicking off the 2011 summer season, the 60th annual Potomac River Festival was a huge success.  We enjoyed a fabulous festival, made new friends and celebrated with many of our old friends as well. Despite the shadow of an economy that is sputtering along, the activities in Town continue to attract the usual visitors and many regional residents who would normally travel long distances for vacations are discovering Colonial Beach. This fall there is a new event that is sure to become a part of our tradition.  Yes folks, there is talk of a wine and seafood festival.

Spring has given way to summer.  Once again we welcome our repeat visitors and look forward to greeting new "first-time" guests. Major events for the 2012 season are already being planned.  As a special treat, there will be a few new events added to next year's roster. Stay tuned!

Remember, we have a special event for everyone.
