• Colonial Beach has a year round population of approximateluy 3,500 with a summertime population swelling to 10,000 or greater.
• The community of retirees and working families continues to grow, with seasonal and weekend residents who own second homes increasing in numbers as well. 
• The Town’s economy is mixed and is heavily influenced by tourism.
• A school system with approximately 620 students enrolled for the 2010/2011 school year serves the residents of the Town of Colonial Beach.
